Our Space
Tactical Retreat Unplugged offers a safe haven located in SW Virginia. In the mountains of Appalachia, near the town of Tazewell, Virginia. We are about 1 1/2 hours SW of Roanoke, VA and about a 1 1/2 hours drive north of Bristol, VA. The retreat has cool mountain streams, untouched forests, walking trails, outdoor recreation and a remote feel to encourage uninterrupted solitude to aid in this process of healing and growth. There is nothing like the quietness of this 10-acre retreat along a mountain stream, surrounded by a forest of oak and maple trees to help ground you and re-align your path to wellness.
Our Continued Growth
We’re excited to announce our ongoing expansion, with the completion of our bunkhouse that sleeps 8 very comfortably. Alongside our iconic ‘Captain’s Cabin,’ that sleeps 2 in a ship’s Captain’s stateroom. Our property offers an array of activities dedicated to self-growth and reflection, such as the transformative Warrior Bridge, the comforting Whisper Phone, two Sky Hammocks, two forest swings, walking trails, 150ft Zipline, and the meditative Labyrinth. We now also provide a hot shower amongst the forest trees. Amidst our natural surroundings, you’re invited to unplug and connect with nature on our scenic trails, providing the space and resources needed for personal growth and healing from trauma.

Here, amidst the tranquility of Tactical Retreat Unplugged, guests have the opportunity to bid farewell to fallen comrades, offering closure and peace to cherished memories. This unique device serves as a heartfelt bridge to honor and remember, providing a moment of solace and closure for those who carry the weight of unfinished conversations.
Noah Brandt Baker Trail
The Tribute Trail stands as a heartfelt memorial, dedicated to honoring the memory of a beloved soul lost too soon. Named in loving remembrance of Noah Brandt Baker, this serene pathway offers a space for contemplation and reflection, allowing thoughts to drift and emotions to find solace amidst the embrace of nature. May this trail serve as a sacred sanctuary for all who walk its path, a place to honor cherished memories and reconnect with the spirit of resilience and hope.
